A little background about me...
I have taught Kindergarten and First Grade for the past 10 years. Before that I taught 6th grade in the Bay Area for 5 years. Teaching is my passion! I come from a long line of teachers in my family, so I knew at a very young age that teaching was going to be my future. I got my Bachelors of Arts degree in Child Development at Sacramento State and then continued on to receive my teaching credential in Early Childhood Education.
After I graduated college, I moved to the Bay Area and began my teaching career in Milpitas. There, I taught 6th Grade for 5 years and loved that age group tremendously! When I started my family I decided to stay home and raise my children for as long as I could. At that point, I moved to Sacramento and for the next 3 years, I stayed home and raised my two little babies: went to library time, had park play dates, discovered museums, and did all kinds of activities like gymnastics, ballet, soccer, and swim lessons! I loved every minute of it! My daughter Alyson (12) is in Seventh Grade this year and she couldn't be more excited! She loves soccer, art and music. My son Colin (10) is starting Fifth Grade! He too loves soccer, baseball, and the guitar. Time is flying by. I am so excited for another great year in First Grade!! |
